Unusual in that this is a driftwood sculpture with an oak base. The wood sourced from a local beach on the Severn Estuary nearby in Wales.
The sculpture represents the very first emergence of features from an otherwise ordinary piece of wood.
Very abstract but I have always been very pleased with it as there is a feeling of movement and creation about the piece

In a jumble of wood deposited by the Spring tide was thispiece sculpted by the sea into the semblance of a cheeky face. Couldnt resist seeing if Pinnochio would emerge!
