The size of this bowl is 6 inches high and 11 inches in diameter. The bowl has double decoupage on the outside of the bowl only so it can still be used,
The maple leaves are fabric and covered in a thin layer of plastic paper glue and varnish.

I visited Canada a few years ago in the autumn. I just love the maple leaf colours in autumn.
So I bought the leaves on line and when they arrived I found they had been covered in a light plastic coating to give them depth. This made it so difficult and I tried everything to flatten them out. It has been the most difficult bowl I have made but it does have a real dimension to it.
This took longer than the normal two months to make, but the colours are still nice.
