Item details

I first started making paper decoupage using stamps on wooden boxes. Then I progressed to making paper decoupage on glass bowls. I got so inspired with the Kaffe Fassett materials that are generally used for quilts that I tried that on glass. It is much more difficult to use fabric and the result is not always as smooth as paper decoupage. The reason for this is the way the fabric reacts to PVA glue and varnish, but this gives a further depth to the decoration. I can not find anyone else on the internet using fabric and double decoupage, so my bowls are unique. The bowls can still be used as the decoration is only on the outside of the bowl. I have displayed them at the Henley Arts Trail.
