Woodland Acorn Brooch in felt and fabric - black and purple

The woods are such a beautiful place and acorns feel like a treasure to collect. However, I like to leave them where they are; that way they can feed the squirrels and whatever is left over can feed the earth!

So without acorns in my pockets, I thought perhaps an acorn brooch to adorn a jacket or bag, with a little foundling button from one of the many in my jar.

How it's made:
- carefully cut by hand
- decorated with a little patterned fabric
- acorn 'hat' detail machine stitched
- topped with a little foundling button
- gently stuffed with hypoallergenic filling to give it a fat little acorn shape

The back is a secure pin-back brooch fastening, carefully hand-stitched into place and covered with a tiny piece of felt. This makes it a little prettier, and a lot more secure so you can wear your acorn for many seasons to come!

The acorn is approx. 7 cm long and 4.5 cm wide at it's longest and widest points.
