Here is one of my Staffordshire Bull Terrier Paintings on a Teabag, as seen on my Instagram page. This lovely girl was one of the dogs whom I met at Holly Hedge Animal Rescue and who has since been re-homed.

This painting is one in my series of Kintsugi dog portraits. The gold represents the Japanese art of using gold, silver or platinum to repair broken pottery. It’s philosophy is that an item should not just be discarded after it has been broken, it can be repaired and made more beautiful than it was before. This is a philosophy that I feel can also be applied to these lovely animals looking for new homes.

This portrait is painted on a teabag in watercolours and gouache.

Framed and mounted professionally in a gold coloured frame measuring approx 20cm x 20cm with a camel coloured mount.

50% of my profits from this sale will be donated to Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary near to Bristol.

I’ve been inspired to paint the dogs at Rescue Centres, firstly to help raise much needed funds for these charities but also to raise the awareness of the many beautiful animals there waiting for new homes.
