I wanted to knit something that can be worn all year round. You can wear the shawl on summer evenings and also in the colder weather as a cowl. I always think a cowl is cosier than a scarf.
I designed the repeat pattern once I had started knitting. I do not work from a pattern so all of my items are original one off designs.
