Large Dragonfly Brooch made from Tigers and Shell Pearl

This beautiful statement piece is made by wire wrapping five shell pearls together and creating antenna with antique bronze silver coated copper wire. Then two heart shaped pieces of tigers eye have been attached with wire that hold the wings in place and yet still allow a little movement.
A strong steel brooch pin has been wire wrapped onto the back of the dragonfly strengthening the whole piece and allowing it to be pinned in the desired place.

The dragonfly measures approximately 7cm X 4.5cm

The brooch will be supplied in the gift box seen which has a beautiful padded interior.

What is Shell pearl?
Shell Pearls are created by repeatedly dipping a round matrix bead into a glowing, brilliantly colored solution of binders and crushed mother of pearl - hence, shell pearl as they contain the shell of the oyster / mollusc that forms the pearl. They are polished and dipped, again and again, until they reach the size desired.
