A very pretty crocheted necklace using hand dyed silk laceweight yarn and solid metal rings in combination with beaded Dorset buttons. The yarn used is a mix very dark purples and green reminiscent of blackwatch tartan. A very steampunk necklace. Although there is a catch at the back, the necklace is long enough to put on without having to open the catch.

My sister gave me a Dorset button kit for Christmas that used much thicker yarn. I challenged myself to make more using this lovely laceweight silk yarn. I loved the buttons but decided to make them into necklaces to show off the pretty buttons. Each necklace is unique and the exact design varies.
