Elegant minimalist silver drop earrings, with a textured finish on the surface, made to order.

These earrings were designed and created in my studio in south Wales. A length of silver wire is cut into two pieces and then each piece is manipulated to form the drop loop. After the earring is formed I then then texture the metal so the metal flattens slightly and the drop loop changes its shape. This means that every single earring is different and no two pairs are identical.

I prefer to create my work in an organic manner, allowing the piece to move and form differently underneath my hands and tools.

Your earrings will be created using the same steps as the earrings in the photographs, but as I prefer to create jewellery organically, there will be minor differences – this ensures that you have a piece of jewellery that is your very own! No two pieces are exactly alike!

I love earrings - who doesn't? With these I wanted a simple and elegant pair of earrings which would hang and wear beautifully.

I started considering shape and form before sitting down with a few design ideas and allowing the metal to begin it's journey to becoming a beautiful pair of earrings.

During the making process, as I find with all my work, the piece seemed to form like magic in my hands. Somehow it becomes something that feels just right, and before I know it, I’ve created something that feels and looks unusual and unique. The final step is to decide on the finish of the piece. This pair of earrings has a textured surface, catching the light beautifully.

I wear my version of these all the time - I am very happy with the end result!
