Handmade Wedding Beach Favours,

Each bottle is 2cm wide and 5cm tall. Each bottle is filled with sand and cowries (famously known as Groatie-Buckies in Caithness, Scotland). The cowries and sand were collected on a beach in John O'Groats in Scotland. The bottle is decorated with string, a 'thank you' charm and a personalised message printed on card. The personalised message means you can write anything you want on the front or back on the card. The standard card prototype has the wedding couples name, the saying 'with love' and the date of the wedding. On the back on the card for the standard prototype is a message detailing how Groatie-buckies are famously thought to bring good luck to whoever beholds them. The writing can be printed in any colour to match your wedding theme and style. Just let me know exactly what you want these wedding favours to look like. I was walking along the beach in John O’Groats looking for the cowrie shells (known as ‘groatie-Buckie’s) and I thought they’ve make fantastic handmade presents as they are thought to bring good luck to whoever beholds them, so I decided to start making my crafts using this inspiration!
