Tiny ceramic sculpture, crafted by hand, by me. This baby snail is made from porcelain and decorated with glaze. It measures 9cm in length and is 5cm tall. It can be adapted to become wearable art (I can glue on a brooch back) or you can hang it on a wall with sticky velcro. Or it can just sit on a shelf peering at you! The choice is yours?

I've loved snails since I was a kid. They are so fragile, it is so easy for us to destroy them. Somehow snails are more charming than slugs because they carry a little house with them - I wonder if slugs get jealous?! Not sure if there is any sensible reason why most of us prefer snails. I like that contrast, between beauty and repulsion. These snails can live both indoors and out! And I can promise that they won't damage your veg patch!
