This beautiful pen is hand turned in a wood known as Thuya Burr. The mechanism is a fun and funky bolt action with bullet accents and a steampunk style with a ballpoint nib in black ink. It takes standard parker style refills.

This is chunky weighty pen, but feels well balanced and is comfortable to write with.

Dimensions 14.7cm x 1.4cm (at the widest point) 1.3cm at the grip.

Thuya Burr (Tetraclinis articulate) grows primarily in Morocco as well as Malta and Southern Spain. It is commonly used for veneers, decorative boxes and other small specialty wood items.

This wood is highly figured and has such beautiful burr patterns as you can see from the photos here. The joy of owning a wood pen is how it feels in your hand, the wood stays warm and really makes you feel connected to the page when writing with it.
