Purple Tree Felted Wall Hanging

This wall hanging was created by myself using the wet felting technique.
It involves layers of unprocessed wool fibres which
are felted via hot water, soap and elbow grease.

I then needlefelted the detail of the tree and roots
I added buttons and beads to complete the effect.

Size 20" x 18"

It has a ribbon hanger and so is ready to hang on the wall.
It could easily be framed.

I love creating this moody felted picture.
I began with the background felt of 5 different tones of purple and pink
I then needle felted on the tree and its roots.
I then added buttons and beads to create all the wildlife that live under an old tree.
