These exquisitely hand painted little butterfly are accurate copies of real insects found in the wild. The original model is sculpted by my own hand and is based on an Apollo butterfly from Sweden.The model was used to make a plaster mould so that the body can be reproduced. The butterfly's are fired to bisque and hand painted in the designs of butterflies from around the world I choose the most eye catching patterns and spend many hours reproducing the exact design.The glaze is fired on and a ring is added to the back for displaying in your home or garden.
