Thank you for visiting my shop.
If my shop says that I am unable to process orders it's because I will be attending a fair. As I only ever make one of each item I would be unable to repeat the same again. I update my page after the fair and then reopen as soon as possible. I hope you understand.
All of my items are posted using Royal Mail, 2nd class and signed for.
You will receive the item described and all are made, ready to ship. (other items in photos are for display only)
This is a delightful and very useful wash bag or cosmetic bag that I have made with 'Harris Tweed'.
I have used a gorgeous pastel check tweed of green/blue/cream and pink colours combined with a plain pale blue.
Being my own design, I have accented the zip ends with the same tweed as the centre band. It is a wonderful way of showcasing a patterned Tweed against a plain Tweed and shows the colours and details perfectly.
I have lined the bag with a wipe clean, water resistant, ripstop fabric in white. Perfect for toiletries or make up and has a zip for closure.
Approx sizes as follows..
27cm (widest point) x 19cm high x 6cm base.
(10.5" x 7.5" x 2.5")
I have sewn the HARRIS TWEED Orb label on to the front. This is your guarantee of genuine HARRIS TWEED cloth.
All of my items I sew on my industrial sewing machine using high quality, industrial grade threads for strength and all are interfaced and stabilised for structure and strength.
Please note that the colours shown may vary slightly due to different screen resolution settings.
HARRIS TWEED, or 'Clo Mor' (The Big Cloth) is the only fabric in the world governed by its own Act of Parliament.
The 1993 Act of Parliament underpins the unique status of HARRIS TWEED and decrees that genuine HARRIS TWEED must be made from virgin wool which has been dyed and spun on the Islands and handwoven at the home of the weaver in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland.
The mark of the Orb as seen on the traditional labels fixed to finished items, guarantees the highest quality tweed, dyed, spun and handwoven by Islanders of Harris, Lewis, Uist and Barra on the Outer Hebrides of Scotland in their homes to the laws outlined in the HARRIS TWEED Act of Parliament.
When you buy HARRIS TWEED you are guaranteed the best, safe in the knowledge that the Orb secures a perfect and very hard wearing cloth. Soft, tactile, breathable, warm, colourful, sustainable, adaptable......what isn't there to love about this iconic cloth. A little bit of British Heritage for your collection.
