This bag I have made using a lovely Herringbone weave 'Harris Tweed' in stunning shades of Blues.
It is a very spacious bag which has a zipped closure to the top. I have combined a white, buttery soft faux leather with the Tweed to make the shoulder strap and tabs. It sits comfortable on the shoulder but equally it is short enough to carry by hand too. The strap attaches to the bag by way of chunky, silver coloured removable clasps onto silver coloured rings. (This is perfect for when the bag is not in use, just remove and keep inside the bag so it keeps its shape)
The lining is a cream cotton canvas printed with dots that coordinate with the tweed beautifully and I have added a zipped pocket inside.
I have sewn the HARRIS TWEED Orb label on to the front. This is your guarantee of genuine HARRIS TWEED cloth.
The size is approx - 31cm wide (widest point) x 26cm high x 10cm base
( 12" x 10" x 4")
Looking at the front of the bag, it tapers slightly, down to the base and from the side of the bag, it narrows from the base up to the top.
All of my bags I sew on my industrial machine using high quality, industrial grade threads for strength and all are sent wrapped in tissue and in a lidded box.

HARRIS TWEED, or 'Clo Mor' (The Big Cloth) is the only fabric in the world governed by its own Act of Parliament.
The 1993 Act of Parliament underpins the unique status of HARRIS TWEED and decrees that genuine HARRIS TWEED must be made from virgin wool which has been dyed and spun on the Islands and handwoven at the home of the weaver in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland.
The mark of the Orb as seen on the traditional labels fixed to finished items, guarantees the highest quality tweed, dyed, spun and handwoven by Islanders of Harris, Lewis, Uist and Barra on the Outer Hebrides of Scotland in their homes to the laws outlined in the HARRIS TWEED Act of Parliament.
When you buy HARRIS TWEED you are guaranteed the best, safe in the knowledge that the Orb secures a perfect and very hard wearing cloth. Soft, tactile, breathable, warm, colourful, sustainable, adaptable......what isn't there to love about this iconic cloth. A little bit of British Heritage for your collection.
