This is an oval slice of sea sediment jasper with veins of pyrite. The pendant is highly polished and has a flat smooth back and a slightly domed front.
The pendant is in pink and red shades and has a crackled effect. The stone measures approximately 4.5cm in length by 3.5cm in width and is hung on an 18" (46cm) silver plated rolo chain.
The pendant comes in a presentation box.
Only 1 available as this is a natural gemstone and totally unique in colouring and pattern. Please be aware, colour settings between different computers may vary. This is a natural stone that has been polished, please look carefully on the photographs for imperfections such as nicks, chips or scratches.
Sea sediment Jasper is loosely associated to the name Jasper but is part of a mineral group called Variscite, normally found in Australia.
Sea Sediment is a fancy marketing name for a very pretty stone thatis not as hard or as durable as Jasper, but is porous and can be dyed in many colours. Its original colour is green and sandy brown, with spider web markings. A cheaply dyed Sea Sediment jasper changes the colour of the spider web from its original sandy colour.
