British and Handmade
I love to see what lies beneath the bark come inside and see what I mean
Beautifully figured Horse Chestnut (conker) wood bowl with a handmade 32mm in diameter, green, red, orange ,yellow , white and purple enamel 3d effect cabouchon which reminds me of fallen flower petals on the lawn, set into the centre. The bowl has some spalting around its rim which adds to the overall effect and measures 148mm in diameter and stands 49mm tall, after being sanded smooth the bowl has been finished with beeswax to a mid shine.
The cabouchon was made by my wife Jacqui when she was making items for her Folksy shop Jax Enamelled Jewellery. The multi tones of the centre piece contrast well with swirling grain of the bowl. These pieces must be seen as quite unique because no two firings come out the same. This would make a lovely 5th anniversary gift or for a loved one to keep her precious trinkets.
