I made this large pouch out of a heavy cotton 'Romo' furnishing fabric sample which features linked octagon shapes in shades of aquamarine, olive green, light and medium grey against a white background. It fastens with a plain white zip and is lined with matching turquoise linen recycled from a shirt.
You can use these pouches for lots of different things. I use mine to bring some sort of order to all the flotsam and jetsam that swills around in the bottom of bags. Make-up, travel cards, credit cards, odd coins, ipods, lipsticks etc. The cotton is pretty robust so they would be good for gadgets, and they would also make excellent cosmetics bags or (if you are very efficient and neat with little bottles of things) weekend washbags.
Because each of my pouches started as something else (a wool kilt, a tweed jacket, a cotton shirt) they come with a unique numbered card that shows what they used to be, and where they came from – a sort of pouch birth certificate.
