Thank you for visiting.
The HARRIS TWEED I have used for this bag is a check pattern in shades of pinks and purples with a touch of cream and black and a plain pink twill. You can see that the plain pink accents the check.
It is a very spacious bag which has a zipped closure to the top and two spacious zipped pockets on the front. All the zips have double zippers so can be opened from any side, ideal if you wish to carry it on either shoulder.
For the lining I have used a white cotton that is printed with pink flowers and script in which the colours coordinate with the Tweed perfectly. This also carries through into the front zipped pockets.
The adjustable strap is made of black cotton webbing and is doubly secured with silver coloured rivets.
I have sewn the HARRIS TWEED Orb label on to the front. This is your guarantee of genuine HARRIS TWEED cloth.
The size is approx - 28cm wide (widest point) x 27cm high x 8cm base
( 11" x 10.5" x 3") and it is fully stabilised for strength and structure.
All of my bags will be wrapped in tissue and placed in a lidded box. Perfect to keep them safe in storage in the times it may not be used, if there ever would be a time!!!!
Please note that the colours shown may vary slightly due to different screen resolution settings.
HARRIS TWEED, or 'Clo Mor' (The Big Cloth) is the only fabric in the world governed by its own Act of Parliament.
The 1993 Act of Parliament underpins the unique status of HARRIS TWEED and decrees that genuine HARRIS TWEED must be made from virgin wool which has been dyed and spun on the Islands and handwoven at the home of the weaver in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland.
The mark of the Orb as seen on the traditional labels fixed to finished items, guarantees the highest quality tweed, dyed, spun and handwoven by Islanders of Harris, Lewis, Uist and Barra on the Outer Hebrides of Scotland in their homes to the laws outlined in the HARRIS TWEED Act of Parliament.
When you buy HARRIS TWEED you are guaranteed the best, safe in the knowledge that the Orb secures a perfect and very hard wearing cloth. Soft, tactile, breathable, warm, colourful, sustainable, adaptable......what isn't there to love about this iconic cloth. A little bit of British Heritage for your collection.
