3D printed geometric image of a Sumatran Rhinoceros, a critically endangered species where fewer than 100 individuals are left. And according to the WWF, it’s cousin the Javan Rhino only have 58-68 individuals left in Indonesia.

The print will fit an IKEA Rabba shadow box frame with or without a mount. The label is supplied with sticky foam, just peel off the back layer and stick where ever you want.

Material: Red PLA and 300gsm acid-free textured paper.

What is PLA? PLA stands for PolyLactic Acid. derived from renewable sources such as cornstarch, cassava roots, chips or sugarcane.

PLA is biodegradable, however, it depends on where you are located. Normal composting on the northern and southern hemisphere (with winters and cooler temperatures) won't work. In order for the biodegradable status to be achieved, you'll need a sustained temperature of 60C/140F for 5 days and requires water to work. This means it will work in areas close to the equator where normal summer temperatures reach 40C to 60C with high level of humidity. Industrial composting facilities can compost PLA and it takes 6months for the material to degrade.

PLA is recyclable but currently NOT the usual recycle centres.

The Sumatran Rhinoceros and it's cousin the Javan Rhino each have fewer than 100 individuals left in the world (There are only 58-68 Javan Rhinos left), due to habitat loss and poaching.
