Item details

These hanging glass decorations are made from reclaimed glasses lenses from the optical industry.

Each one is a different prescription, size, shape and thickness. The design is drawn out using an electric engraver.

These have a sugar skull drawn onto the lens.

Some of the lenses have 'react-to-light' properties, If you want one like this please specify when ordering!

Before the drawing takes place the lenses have to be cleaned of the opticians markings and have a hanging hole drilled into them.

Each one is a unique combination of design and prescription!

As they are all hand drawn they will all be slightly different, all come supplied with a white hanging ribbon and are delivered in a custom made gift bag with label and ribbon.

They look beautiful where the light can get to them.

Hoping to raise funds for a new scrapstore!

I am passionate about recycling and used to volunteer at my local scrap store, a place that rescues waste from landfill and sells it to artists and schools. The glasses lenses came into the store and I fell in love with them, even before I knew what I could do with them.So I bought a few to experiment with.
Then went back and bought the rest!
Each one is a different size, shape and prescription. Each one unique.
