I have always loved the Moulin Rouge and I am so happy to have visited it a few times. After purchasing the coffee table book I noticed how parts of the costume had changed over the years. I remember painting a piece by Toulouse Lautrec in school which focussed on legs and I really wanted to mix the two inspirations in to my own piece.
