This a contemporary piece of embroidery hoop art with a stitched and appliquéd image of a girl wearing an Adidas hat. Some of the fabrics used are denim and cotton. This piece is a combination of appliqué, painting, free matching and hand stitching. A layered piece of work, with fabric, painting and stitching. This piece took over 30 hours and is a mixed media piece consisting of painting, free machine stitching, slow stitching and fabric collage. A colourful piece of contemporary art with shades of blue, green and orange with lots of other colours too.
The frame is a wooden embroidery hoop which measures 8in x 8 in, which is 20.32cm x 20.32cm.
This piece is finished on the back with the fabric stitched in a circle.
To hang this piece you can tie a piece of wire or string to the screw at the top and hang, or alternatively you could hang the back of the piece over a hook or nail.

I find it very interesting the way the youth of today seem to be so obsessed with selfies. I also find it interesting that I am sure that I didn't look that good when I was a teenager, ha ha.
