35% superfine alpaca and 20% wool mix yarn makes this hand made generous shawl very soft, warm and super squishy.
Made with a yarn I had in my collection called Mist in DK weight and mink colour. The colour is described as Mink in the package. It is like the colour or dry driftwood or weathered wood. And the touch is super soft and squishy.
It took the whole 500grs pack and feels like heaven around the shoulders.
It will be tissue paper wrapped and boxed for delivery.

I had had this yarn in my collection for years waiting for the right pattern. It was an expensive impulse purchase so I wanted to get something very special out of it.
Then I started knitting a lace shawl with it and it became clear this yarn was too soft to showcase a lace pattern.
Back to the drawing board to start again this time with a lace crochet pattern and the result is a extremely squishy rectangular shawl, almost a comfort blanket and so soft!!!
