Recently shortlisted for the Evening Standard Art Prize
Signed and dated one-off hand-stitched collage made from discarded papers, using my nana’s old silk thread.
Grayson Perry and Cressida Dick were cut from the London Evening Standard (20.10.17), photograph by Nigel Howard, and sewn to a page from A Concise History Of Modern Painting by Herbert Read (Thames And Hudson, 30 Bloomsbury Street, London WC1. Sixth impression, 1964).
15 x 21cms, unframed.
It is a one-off. Never to be reproduced in print form.
£5 from this sale will go to Arts Emergency. This is a small London based charity aiming to ensure university doors are kept open for those most able to benefit from, but least able to pay for education.
In keeping with my eco-friendly ethos, it will arrive in a package made from used magazines and the like. No single-use plastic and parcel tape.
Can be sent as a gift, with words of your choice.
