Item details

This recycled wooden scaffold board is painted in white with an ash coloured varnish giving it a sandy finish. A stencilled giraffe design, hand painted with orange, brown and blue contrasts with the light, sandy background.

The board is finished with two Fair Trade hooks in blues and oranges to complement the colours of the giraffe mother and baby.

We would be happy to talk to you about designing a bespoke stencilled animal board for you as a gift or to match your home decor.

This board is useful for light coats, scarves, keys, jewellery, plants and much, much more.

This was the first scaffold board we painted so it's a very special one for us. We wanted a shappy chic look so we painted it white and washed the colour out to make a base for shabby chic. Then we added some grey.

The varnish we had was ash brown so we thought we would try it. When it dried we thought it gave the board a hint of the sundrenched, dry African landscape where giraffes live.

We saw a mother and baby giraffe stencil design online so Ashlie drew a similar design on our board and Lynn coloured it in. Our creative process is a true partnership.

We already had the Fair Trade hooks which we bought from Namaste-UK.
