Wren alert depicts a wren protecting its domain. It is a hand painted monoprint from a lino block and printed on a hand press. The background is bright orange and the wren is multi-coloured with warm brown and oranges.
Sale £20 instead of £25.
It is signed and titled in pencil by the artist.

The print is supplied in a textured cream mount.

It is a variable edition; every hand painted print is unique.
Mount size: to fit a frame measuring 8 by 8 inches.
Printed on Fabriano paper using water based inks.
Colour fixed using a waterbased craft spray.
The colour may vary slightly from the image.

Proseprints is keen to be green, our printed greeting cards are on recycled paper, with bio-degradable cellos, we use paper based packaging and are introducing non-plastic packaging for protecting artwork. We also support a local conservation charity, donating money from the sales of our cards and artwork.

Wrens are such feisty birds. I love the fact that they are so small yet they can trill out an alarm cry of a bird twice their size and they stand up their tail feathers to tell all on-comers not to mess with them. Hence the title 'wren alert'. We have a pair nesting close by and they bob in and out of the wisteria outside our kitchen window. From a distance they appear to be uniformly brown but when you look closer they are beautifully marked with a cream stripe above their eyes and an almost chequer board pattern on their wings and tail.
