Pie shape paperweight turned from English Acacia wood with a natural bark edge around the top and an image of a tree pyrographed into its centre. The weight stands 45mm tall and is 90mm in diameter , the top has been finished with two coats of melamine lacquer and the rest with beeswax to a high shine.
Pyrography is literally “fire writing” and the design has been hand drawn onto the wood with a hot wire pyrography device, which allows both bold and subtle shading. The simplicity of shape and the minimalism of the design are deliberate – more is sometimes less – and this design will also feature on Pen Pots, light pulls and wedges in due course, at home or in an office setting this weight will stop your papers blowing away and look very stylish on the desk. Perfect gift for Fathers Day.
