This beautifully renovated chest of drawers is now sold, however, I do have other vintage items in stock and available for commission. Please ask for details.

This stunning vintage chest of drawers has been carefully renovated, using Annie Sloan paints and waxes, to create a beautiful statement piece. The overall colour has been created by layering cream over white, to produce a delicate finish and an appearance of age. Dark wax has then been used to make the piece look as though it's been in your family for decades, giving it a French farmhouse feel. To enhance this style further, the drawers have also received a makeover, with gorgeous bird print decoupage and a vintage feel crackle glaze. In addition and to add a real pop of colour, the inside of the drawers are a fabulous turquoise. So when the drawers are opened, they also offer up their own little bit of glamour!
As for the handles, they are just gorgeous in their own right. Very unusual and very Art Deco, they are brass and Bakelite, two tone and just delightful! I sometimes change the original handles on my pieces, but these are so gorgeous, they just had to stay!
Overall this is such a stunning piece and would make a very special addition to that French inspired bedroom.

I select all of my vintage pieces very carefully and take time to do this. This beautiful chest of drawers was, therefore, no exception and then I just couldn't wait to get started with its transformation.
Choosing colour and design is something which does require a lot of thought too, as some pieces just call out to be one colour, whilst others simply need to be another. So this piece needed to be cream and it certainly suits it! And as for the decoupage, this design is definitely a statement one. I love everything vintage and to create pieces which reflect both this and my passion for colour and design, is what I am all about.
