I Cherished my Rag Doll as a child, and I wanted my daughter to have a similar one,but couldn't find any similar to purchase, so I decided to design and make one. It was quite basic, but she loved it and cherished hers for many years. I have small Granddaughters now, so I thought I would try and make her a bit more up to date, but keep that traditional feel. I wanted a doll to love and play with, so the face is stencilled using fabric paints making it pretty safe. Their dolls have been in the washing machine and although I wouldn't advise this, all three have come out with face still there, and body intact. There is a attached care label (please detach before giving it to any child), advising Main Body: Hand wash, but dress can be washed in a machine. Every thought has gone into making Miss Humbug safe, my Granddaughters can confirm that. She is filled with Hypo-allergenic stuffing and complies with the requirements laid out in the Toy Safety Directive. Miss Humbug is 74 cm tall and has a luscious thick woolly head of hair, topped off with a very smart generous satin bow, and simple little dress with two large buttons, easy for little fingers to undress. Supervised play for under three years due to button and ribbon. Miss Humbug has body,head and arms made from natural calico, which I have hand dyed to achieve different skin tones.I just want people to love and treasure her as much as we all do.
