This is a small but practical leather satchel. It is only big enough for small tablets (7-inch) and A5 notebooks, but nevertheless, you can fit a surprising amount into it. It has an internal pocket (so that you can keep your tablet or iPad separate from the rest of your belongings). It has a pocket under the flap for a credit card or ID badge and another one (also under the flap) for your phone (I can easily fit my iPhone 6S in it).

The satchel is made from veg-tanned Italian leather in a beautiful dark tan colour. It has a detachable shoulder strap to complement the handle. All stitching is hand-stitched using traditional saddle stitch methods, which makes the bag strong and durable. Edges have been burnished to give them a lovely smooth finish.

The satchel measures approximately 26.5cm x 27.5cm x 8.5cm (10.5 x 11 x 3.5inches), including the handle. The strap is adjustable and measures approximately 127-140 cm (50 - 55inches).

I wanted to make a satchel, but I didn't want to make something too big, or something that had been done before. I particularly liked the carry handle on my mini satchel (see listing https://folksy.com/items/7114340-Mini-satchel-style-hand-bag-with-detachable-shoulder-strap) so I simply scaled it up. I then added pockets to make it more practical.
