I'm Andrea, a full time glass artist living and working in the valleys of South Wales
During the Covid-19 restrictions - I intend to keep my Folksy shop l open. I am able to accept and dispatch orders. Although I always aim to send out orders as quickly as possible, please be aware that I post only via Royal Mail, and it may currently take a little longer than usual for any parcels to arrive at their destination. Any changes and I'll update you here.
To make things easier for you, I can gladly gift wrap any presents, add a hand-written note and send them directly to the recipient at no extra charge – just leave me a note and details when you checkout.
This large seahorse suncatcher is about 10 inches high and just over 4 inches wide at its widest point. It is made from a gorgeous transparent marine blue glass, with translucent pale green fin, head and neck frills. It would look amazing hanging in your window, in the garden or on a wall.It would also make a great decoration for a sea themed bedroom or bathroom. I've photographed it against a window, so that you can see the true colours of the glass.
I have two - both very similar, but each one different ( I prefer to try and make each piece unique then you have your very own unique piece of Dragon Art Glass art.
Each has its own incorporated hanging loop - a piece of glass that has been fused to the top to allow the piece to be easily hung on a wall. I have added a length of blue paracord, to allow you to hang the piece as soon as it arrives.
I love sea creatures of all shapes and sizes, and enjoy the challenge of trying to create them from glass. When I saw the colour on this glass, I know I hat to make at least one seahorse.
All of my fused glass items are carefully and lovingly handmade by myself, placed in my kiln and fused so as to be as strong as possible. Anything flat goes through one kiln process - which takes in the region of 24 hours; anything shaped, such as bowls and dishes go through two kiln processes, firstly a 24 hour fusing process, and then a 24 hour slumping process, and so takes up to 48 hours in the kiln.
