In 2016 I was fortunate enough to return to Ladakh and the Himalayas. The scenery in this part of India is out of this world and the people are so welcoming.
Driving through the mountainous high altitude desert of Ladakh where the dominant colours are browns, oranges and yellows the sight of the turquoise surface of Pangogn Tso comes as quite a surprise. I remember seeing it for the first time and not believing it, the blue was such a contrast in the otherwise dull landscape. As you can see in this photo the colour of the lake is quite striking.
