This was originally designed as a garden chair designed very loosely on the Coronation Throne (or King David's Throne) in Westminster Abbey.
Since we built the first one and started showing it off at events around the North East, it attracted attention as a storytelling chair for schools. Now dozens of schools across the country have one (or more) of these as a focal point to an Outdoor Classroom, Forest School, Enchanted Garden or Story Corner.
It has also been used as a prop on stage (most notably as the throne for Henry V at Stratford upon Avon), for brides and grooms at their wedding receptions and even as part of a photography set for tourists discovering the history and heritage of Scotland!
