A vintage soda siphon bottle repurposed into a table lamp. 1950's/60's reclaimed heavy glass bottle, with a new, 'retro-style' orange flex, and an inline rocker switch.
Wired for UK use. Standard Edison screw fitting for your own choice of LED light bulb. (Bulb shown not included).
The bottle has been 'in service', and has some age and use related wear, scuffs and surface scratching - in pretty good condition overall though.
The soda bottle is etched with the Schweppes name and trademark, the Queens Coat of Arms and "By Appointment to her Majesty the Queen Mineral Water Maunuacturers Schweppes Ltd". There is '62' etched under the coat of arms - not sure what this refers to, the year perhaps? The bottle would have been made sometime from 1953 as this was when QE2 came to the throne.
Suitable for a variety of settings and situations - would make a fab bar lamp.
The lamp has been Electrical Safety tested, AND IS FOR USE IN THE UK ONLY. The purchaser is responsible for ensuring the lamp is used safely and responsibly, and for appropriate maintainance of the item.
So many unloved soda bottles in the world, they have fabulous etched designs and deserve to be made into something useful.
