These weeping fig dangly earrings are handcrafted from both precious mental clay and sterling silver. Silver clay is a recycled that uses recycled silver to form a clay that is fired by hand, or in a kiln, to produce a pure metal product. These earrings used precious metal clay (PMC) paste that is applied to the leaves in a number of layers allowing you to make a thick layer of the clay which is dried before firing in a kiln. During the process the clay burns off and a fine silver product is left and the leaf is also burned away. In doing this each leaf earring is unique as it is an exact image of the leaf used to make it . You can read more about the inspiration for these earrings in my blog. The earrings were then given a patina highlight the details of the leaf. Finally the Sterling Silver earring wires were added. The entire piece was then polished to a high shine
