Wooden bowl made from Iroko 824

Wooden bowl made from Iroko 824
Love this

Description

A small incidental bowl turned from Milicia Excelse a tropical hard woode from Africa commonly known as Iroko which is a substitute for Teak .
The external dimensions are 100mm diameter 40mm height. After turning and sanding I coated the wood with a Melamine Lacquer which is hard wearing before wax polishing to a high glass finish.

Inspiration

My wife wanted a small dish to put her watch and earrings in when she went to bed, After making one for her I made one for myself to keep my watch in at night. I then wondered if people would be interested in using one so I am making a few in different woods and sizes this being the first one for sale.
