I love making these pretty decorations, a very dear friend gave me a huge bag of off-cuts and pieces of lace and some beautiful handmade doilies, she challenged me to make something with them. So here are the first ones.

Full description
Two pretty hanging hearts, crafted from recycled materials and completely handmade.
1) I made this heart using some offcuts from curtain material, embellished with a lovely dark red ribbon, cotton lace and two handmade satin roses, the finishing touch some pretty beads hanging on a chain.
8” x 8” approx including hanging loop
2) I used strips of curtain material for the second heart, overlaid with a vintage handmade doily stitched with tiny gold beads, and a handmade gold satin rose. I found a length of pretty gold and white braid and with the addition of some cotton lace trim and a cream cotton tape for the hanging loop and bow, they finished it perfectly.
