We make these floating shelves from old pallets. We lightly sand the pallets and treat with Danish oil to protect and bring out the natural grain of the wood.

We designed these display boxes in the shape of a house because they can display your personal belongings and ornaments in a unique frame and create a feature on your wall.

The boxes look great on a sideboard or mantle piece, but we recommend creating a lovely decor feature by hanging two or more boxes on your wall. The shelf base is 10 cm wide so there is plenty of room for placing objects on the bottom shelf. Another idea is to place hooks in the backing board so that you can hang objects inside the box.

A white backing board gives a nice background for whatever you want to display inside and gives the box extra support.

The sizes of the boxes in the photos are given below, but we can make them smaller or larger on request.
