This distinctive designed lamp / artwork combine industrial and natural materials to make a unique unit.

The lamp is handmade in my small workshop. Each piece is unique and I do not reproduce any of my work, they are one of a kind.

You can have part of aviation and British Air Force history in your own home with this lamp.
The main part of the lamp is crafted from a Lynx Helicopter cooling system, the air cycle machine intake. The base of lamp is made from a solid piece of hardwood White Oak then finished in a high gloss guitar lacquer coats.
It is made to really high standard in built of high quality aluminium, ex RAF.
The part is composed 7 led strip lights and finished in an opalescent paint with a clear coat lacquer.

The unit has a switched, 12v powered supply.
This is unique lamp would suit any modern interior.

Measurements

Base: - 270mm in diameter and 53mm deep.
Lamp: - 320mm high and the top is 158mm in diameter.
Weight:- Around 5 kilo

I have always enjoyed creating items out of wood, and I have enjoyed designing and making wooden objects for use and display around my own home. I class my items as useable art; they are individually designed and crafted. The items have included lamps, clocks, barometers, and flower holders just to mention a few!
I managed to purchase some ex RAF aircraft parts and have started to make usable art from them. This is the first of items.
