Item details

After I developed a style of incense stick holder that suited us what did my darling other half pick up in our usual incense stick shop? Yep, cones. Dragon's Blood I believe. Was it Game of Thrones season back in Feb 2017?

Our first household cone burner was duely made from beech wood with a half pence as the burning plate. I thought it looked pretty cool, so I decided to roll them out as a product. I still wasn't over my shou-sugi-ban phase and I think it's especially cool to burn your cone in something burnt.

Shou-sugi-ban is a traditional Japanese method for preserving cedar exterior cladding and it looks great as a finish for rustic household items. I especially like the way softwoods burn a little bit less deep on the hard winter growth rings.

It had to be done.
