This litle pincushion is hand made using a combination of a natural linen with a pretty blue daisy design and a very popular blue and white cotton ticking fabric.
As you can see I used some cord to form the petal type shape and have sewn a blue button into the centre of both sides of the pin cushion.
Anyone who sews will know that this is one of the most useful item of haberdashery required for the job, and we can never have too many of them. In fact, I have a collection of them in sorts of different shapes, sizes and colours which I store in my fabric buckets.
These pin cushions also match the hand made needle books which I have listed in my shop. They make lovely gifts either on their own or as a set for those people who love to craft. These might even be an option for a Valentine's day gift or for a Mother's Day gift and would not break the bank!

As I sew such a lot I find I need so many pin cushions so I decided to make some for myself. Then when one of friends saw them she asked me to make some for her. In the end they had become so popular with my friens that I thought why not add them to my Folksy shop to sell.
