Item details

This is an original watercolour painting of a bunch of lupin flowers. The painting has been created using watercolour paints on watercolour paper. Several different watercolour techniques have been used such as wax resist, wet on wet, and splattering which are unique to my style of artwork. The painting has been mounted and signed. The measurements are approximately 28cm x 42cm which includes the mount.

I adore flowers that you see growing in a cottage garden. Foxgloves, larkspur have been inspiration in the past but I had never tried to paint lupins. I am pleased with the end product as the painting is very vibrant and the flowers have almost took on a flame like quality!
