A tranquil mosaic of two Koi Carp gliding through clear turquoise blue water under a cherry blossom tree. This mosaic is mounted on an exterior plywood base and finished in a lilac coloured grout. The mosaic tiles used are crushed glass and iridescent glass tiles. It has a border of slate and glass mosaic tiles.
Measuring approximately 22cm x 65cm.
This mosaic would look beautiful in a bathroom, garden or any place of relaxation.

This mosaic was inspired by a painting I had seen of Koi Carp in a pond. The image had such a tranquil and peaceful appearance I decided I would have to create a piece of mosaic art of Koi Carp. Perhaps I was also drawn to this image as I am a Pisces!
The challenge was to create the image of fish gliding effortlessly through water and to depict the delicate cherry blossom. Not an easy task using glass tiles, but I enjoy a challenge. I think this mosaic would look beautiful on a bathroom wall or perhaps even by a pond in a peaceful garden setting the scene for relaxing.
