Blinged up gangster lobster... this is my take on the very rare spilt coloured lobster. There are lots of funky variants of Lobsters, blue ones are rare, as are albinos. I find this version very fascinating though as it has this distinctive precise spilt down the body, often calico and black or blue and black, the odds of finding one are one in 50 million says the Lobster Institute (I love the fact there is a Lobster Institute!). You know how evil geniuses in films usually have sharks with lasers on their heads swimming round in tanks? Well I would have these badboys with sea glass hunting lasers on their heads instead. Have a collection of incredibly rare lobsters and they would be my lobster army and go out searching for treasure for me. And I would never eat them either because I hate seafood and I love lobsters. Crazy lobster lady they would call me...
I have used metallic paint that sparkles and glitters when you catch it in the light... A bit of beach bling.
I have been painting again recently, using the driftwood I find whilst beach combing as my canvas. Please check out my shop to see my sea glass jewellery designs.
The driftwood is 6.5 inches x 3.5 inches at widest part. It hangs from a snazzy bit of antique brass chandelier chain so you can simply pop on a nail to hang.
