Inspired by a beautiful Cotswold countryside walk one summers afternoon where we were lucky enough to see a hare at play.

The Hare sits proud in front of the rolling hills and sunset beyond. A variety of muted shades indicative of the warm, beautiful light on a summers evening create the backdrop for the flora and fauna. The light adds an additional texture to the piece.

Designed to be enjoyed both in the daytime and at night, the light-wire, woven around and inside the various layers, gives off a soft orange/red glow. At night the sky and hills illuminate, reminiscent of a summer sunset, adding to the depth of the artwork.

How it's made:

The piece is made using high quality, 300gsm Daler-Rowney card. The card is printed, cut and mounted on a back-board within the frame to create a layered, three-dimensional artwork.

The frame size is 24x24cm square and 3.5cm deep. The 3D image is 20x20x2cm square.

Powered by 2xAA batteries the light can be turned on or off at the back of the frame.
