Wall mountable coat rack crafted from an oak stave taken from a decommissioned Scottish whisky barrel.

Although re-finished on the front and edges and medium oak waxed to bring out the beauty of the materials, the back of the rack still shows signs of it's original use.

Each rack is unique and hand crafted, so grain pattern, finishes and sizes will vary slightly.

The Rack is approximately 90cm long x 10cm wide x 7cm high and comes with 5 x rustic metal double coat hooks

It was whilst visiting a local reclamation yard that I came across a number of old Scottish oak whisky barrels laying around in various states of repair.

I admired the wonderful materials and the skill and unique craftsmanship that the Coopers had bestowed upon these beautiful pieces so many years ago and knew that I had to do something to preserve the essence of this craft.

I then began to see all kinds of possibilities for the materials and this is just one of the products of those many ideas.
