This is a stained glass suncatcher entirely handmade using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A shiny bright turquoise Dragonfly.
I've used some lovely glass, some textured, some iridescent and I've then mixed in some clear iridescent very textured glass all of which give it movement and flutter power as is fitting for a dragonfly. It has flower beads for eyes and curly hair just for fun.
The dragonfly is 15cm wide and 10cm high. This would make a lovely present. It looks beautiful hanging in the window where it catches the light all year round.
The suncatcher hangs from a little chain which is securely attached to the top of the dragonfly.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass. Every one is different.
My suncatchers make super presents and are also really good when hanging in french or conservatory windows to stop the birds flying into the glass.
The 5th photo shows the green dragonfly I also have for sale as a separate listing.
If you prefer other colours then I will happily make that for you instead, please just ask.
Please note that this is an ornament made of glass and not a toy.
Reminds me of summer holidays in France, canoeing on the Dordogne with dragonflies flitting all around us.
Please note : POSTAL CHARGES : . I always part-refund postage via Paypal where more than one piece is ordered to allow for combined postal charge. I do this as soon as I receive your order.
