This Hobbit Fairy Door has been lovingly crafted by hand from a variety of found objects, modelling materials and handmade items. Each wooden door panel has been sanded and shaped by hand, painted in a variety of green colours to look as though it has been repainted over many years. Each metal stud has been placed individually, and a hand aged door knob finishes the door off.

The roof is assembled using thin sheets of wood, shaped out the stone walls of the door. The stones are sourced locally and are handselected for their different textures and shapes. Two little acorn plant pots sit either side of the stone path leading up to the door. Complimented by a hand made wattle fence behind which some wild grass grows. To the left of a door is a well kept flower bed, in which one of the plants had been left to gow up over the door creating a lovely dappled light effect when lit from certain angles.

The final touch is added by a working carriage lantern attached to the left hand side of the door frame. This gives of a wonderful glow during the late evening or in the dead of the night.

Sadly this item is an indoor item only. The door is fragile and is decorative only, and not suitable for children.

The light is powered by a 9V battery please take appropriate care when using the light.
